Kaņepes Kultūras Centrs turpina savu džeza otrdienu tradīciju – 5. maijs, 20.00. Koncerta pirmajā daļā dzirdēsim City Jazz Amateur Band, kolektīvu, kurš dibināts 2011. gadā, kurā spēlē dažādu vecumu un profesiju cilvēki sākot ar mūzikas vidusskolu studentiem un beidzot ar Vācu medicīnas studentiem un ārvalstu diplomātiem.
Ar City Jazz Amateur Band kopā uzstāsies arī jaunā un talantīgā vokāliste Elīze Baķe. Vadītājs Dāvis Jurka.
Otrajā daļā: City Jazz Big Band, kas ir izveidots 2007. gada vasarā. Šis ir pilns modernā sastāva bigbends 19 mūziķu sastāvā, kurus vieno vēlme spēlēt mākslinieciski augstvērtīgu mūziku, tādejādi radot prieku sev un klausītājiem.

In the first part of a concert we will hear City Jazz Amateur Band, which was founded in the 2011. People with different occupations and ages are playing in this band, including music school, German medicine students and foreign diplomats. Talented vocalist Elīze Baķe will be performing with City Jazz Amateur Band and Dāvis Jurka will be the band leader.

In the second part of the concert we will hear City Jazz Big Band.
Saxophonist, composer and band leader Kārlis Vanags first dreamt of leading his own big band when he was 13, a dream realized in 2007 when he formed his own band in Riga, Latvia.
Kārlis Vanags City Jazz Big Band is a 21 piece band that unites musicians wishing to play music of high artistic quality for their own and listeners’ enjoyment.
